My name is Peter Dacres and I’m the manager

Peter with a our local PC who used to come to the playground as a lad.

I have been working at Somerville since April 2016.

As a child I lived locally and attended John Donne School & Haberdashers’ Askes Hatcham College.

My first encounter with Somerville was when I use to deliver football coaching sessions on behalf of Millwall Community Trust and it was then that I experienced what a great place Somerville is.

One of my main reasons for wanting to work with children and young people is that I am extremely passionate about developing their skills, knowledge and experiences. I recognise that each person is unique and has the ability to fulfil their potential here at Somerville which provides a fun and safe space for this to be achieved.  I deliver a range of activities and workshops relating to issues young people may be facing and accredited courses such as the Duke of Edinburgh awards.

I pride myself on working closely with our members of staff, young people and their parents/guardians so that they feel supported  in order for us to provide an excellent service to everyone associated with Somerville.

My interests include reading, travelling, keeping fit and focusing on my personal development as well as helping others.
